Thank you for being a valued member of the Idaho School Benefits Trust (ISBT). It’s the commitment of the Trust’s 137 schools and 38,655 members that create both buying power and a strong voice to advocate for quality, affordable benefits for Idaho school district employees.
The ISBT is hard at work to offer meaningful benefits for the renewal in September 2020 that both help our members and help contain costs. To recap, the most recent benefit additions include:
- Cardiac rehabilitation benefits effective September 1, 2019
- Living Well with High Blood pressure program effective January 1, 2019 (see attached flyer for more information)
- MDLIVE, a service that gives ISBT members access to 24/7 virtual care by phone, tablet or computer. MDLIVE went into effect on September 1, 2018 (see attached flyer for more information)
It has come to the ISBT’s attention that many districts may have heard incorrect information about the 2020 renewal.
At this time, any benefit changes, including any increase or decrease in renewal rates, have not been calculated or decided.
The ISBT will begin renewal discussions with the actuaries in March after they have done their thorough analysis, and the renewal tour release is slated to begin mid-April. The ISBT will release more information as plans are finalized.
We look forward to another year of partnership and service to Idaho’s schools.
Sincerely,
Debbie Hainke
